Exhibit Opening for Artist Peri Schwartz

Sunday, April 15: Meet artist Peri Schwartz at the opening reception for her exhibit of paintings, prints and drawings, "Interior Perspectives" from 3 - 5 p.m. in the gallery. Peri is a New York artist, whose work is in American and European Museum Collections, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Museum of the City of New York; the Bibliotheque Nationale de France and the British Museum .

Calvin Trillin talks "About Alice"

Sunday, April 15:
American journalist, humorist and novelist, Calvin Trillin, visits the New Canaan Library to discuss his latest book, "About Alice" and other topics of interest at 3 p.m. in the Lamb Room. Well known as a writer for the magazines, "The New Yorker" and "The Nation," he is also the author of more than 20 books, most of them non-fiction. A graduate of Yale University, Mr. Trillin now lives in Greenwich Village.

Unfortunately, the weather took over today and Food TV Chef and author Robin Miller was unable to come to New Canaan. We hope we will be able to re-schedule when spring really arrives. But...if you can't wait, Elm Street Books has copies of Robin Miller's book, Quick Fix Meals in stock, ready to sell and the Library has copies ready to be checked out. Her recipes cover a wide range of food choices. As soon as we know, we will let you know when Robin might visit.
