Programs for Children

Saturday, February 7: Book Voyagers Book Discussion Club for boys and girls in grades 5 to 7 in the Children’s Program Room from 1 to 2 p.m. Teacher Christopher Brown will lead a discussion of “The Giver” by Lois Lowry. Copies of the book are available in Children’s Room. Refreshments will be served. Call 594-5002 to register or register online.

Also on Saturday Tacky the Penguin will visit in the Curtis Gallery at 2:30 p.m. A special program for children ages 2 to 7 and their parents. Bring your camera for great photos! Monday, February 9: Preschool Valentine Craft Workshops presented by members of the Young Women’s League, 9:30-10:15 a.m. or 10:45-11:30 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room. Sponsored by the Friends’ Children’s Committee.

Thursday, February 12: (snow date 2/13) A sing-along musical program with Marcia Louis for children ages 4 to 9 and their parents from1:30-2:15 p.m. in the Lamb Room.

Saturday, February 14: (snow date 2/15) A Valentine Celebration for children ages 4 to 10 and their parents from1:30—2:30 p.m. Story, craft, film and refreshments in the Children’s Program Room.

Monday, February 23: Preschool sing-along with Diane Wells at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room.
Wednesday, February 25: Young Critics Book Discussion of “Schooled” by Gordon Korman. For children in grades 5 – 7 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. Pizza will be served. Call 594-5002 to register or register online.
